FlyOver Canada is a simulated theatre flying experience with locations in Vancouver, Iceland and Las Vegas. It had hoped to open in Toronto in 2025.
NOTE: FlyOver Toronto was going to open, but never did. Plans to open it have also been put on permanent hold, at least for the foreseeable future. Toronto’s FlyOver Canada Theatre
FlyOver Canada is a unique show that lets the audience experience what it feels like to fly across Canada and other parts of the world. In order to make it seem as realistic as possible, rows of seats can move to simulate a flying experience. Gusts of wind blow across the audience from time to time, and guests can even smell the landscape too!
As of 2026, there are four FlyOver locations in three different countries in the world. One is in Vancouver, another is in Iceland, and the third is in Las Vegas. The first was the one in Canada and Iceland was the second. Las Vegas opened in September 2021. A FlyOver theatre in Toronto was originally supposed to open sometime in 2022. However, that schedule changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The plan for opening got delayed until 2025, but then got postponed indefinitely. As of 2026, there are now no longer any plans for the Toronto location. In 2026, however, a fourth location opened in Toronto.
If it had opened, the Toronto location was going to be located in the city centre, between Rogers Centre and the CN Tower. The theatre was going to feature a 23-metre screen that could take audiences on a thrilling adventure across breathtaking locations in Canada, similar to the FlyOver Vancouver location with the film Awaken Canada.
In addition to films about this country, FlyOver Canada theatres also feature films showcasing other parts of the world too. Depending on the time of year, the theatre has seasonal shows relating to other cultures or specific regions of Canada or the United States. For example, FlyOver Canada in Vancouver often runs films about Hawaii or the Canadian Rockies. There are also other shows with a specific theme, such as those during Halloween and Christmas. Potential Admission for FlyOver Canada in Toronto
Although official admission rates for the Toronto theatre were never known, they were likely going to be similar to the prices at the Vancouver location. Tickets for adults there cost between about $29 and $39 depending on when you go. Admission rates are usually on the higher end for busier days such as weekends. On the other hand, they are often cheaper if you choose to go on a quiet weekday, or if you book well in advance.
Tickets for children ages 15 years old or younger at other locations are usually about $10 less expensive than those of adults. Keep in mind, however, that all participants need to be at least 40 inches tall to enter the theatre. (Anyone smaller won’t fit properly in the seats.)
NOTE: Tickets can be bought in person at the gate, but they’re cheaper online.
